Welcome To The Employment Seekers Guide!

If You Are Seeking Employment, Here Is Where To Start.  We Have Information You Will Need To Successfully Research And Land That Next Job...

In case you haven’t already noticed, this past year has brought about a new employment environment that hasn’t been seen since the mid-eighties.  Today’s employment scene is volatile to say the least and there a reduced sense of security in all fields and occupations.  The term of the day is “right sizing” which means the same thing as it always has no matter how you word it and that is that your job is never safe.

Whether it is called “right sizing”, “down-sizing”, or “non-replacement attrition” (you heard that here first), it puts all of our jobs at risk for removal at any time.  With world markets remaining unstable, and off shore interests for ever trying to peel away more of the domestic job market, it has never been more important than it is today to protect you career and job interests from all of these outside forces that can at any moment leave you in a predicament that you never thought could happen – losing your job.

Watch this video below! We have gathered all the resources to help you learn everything you always wanted to know about Employment & Job Search.

Years ago, every job had some fairly specific requirements and if you fulfilled those requirements, you could be fairly well assured that at least until someone came along that could simply do the job better and cheaper than you, that the job would be there tomorrow.  Education, whether formal or on the job was not as often a requirement to acquire or maintain your job.  These days that is often no longer enough.

You are going to have to be smarter and more educated to maintain a position of importance within your organization.  You are going to have to be more versatile and flexible in what duties you can and are willing to perform within your organization also.  The more you can bring to the table, the more you can learn, the more resilient you will become in your employment status.

The key is to educate and work yourself into a position that your company can’t afford to be without you or that they would need to hire more than one individual to do your job.  This is very important as you mature in your position, especially when you are competing against a younger and less expensive work force.
